Festival Broekland Raises Funds for Buitenvarkens
Festival Broekland in Heusden, which took place in early October, has successfully raised €2,200. The proceeds from the event will be utilized to enhance the living conditions of the outdoor pigs at Sengersbroek Farm.
Ludieke Festival Experience
The festival, held from Friday, October 4, to Sunday, October 6, offered attendees live music, theater performances, culinary surprises, and a touch of nature. One of the highlights was the opportunity for visitors to observe the outdoor pig habitat on the farm.
Investing in Buitenvarkens' Welfare
The main goal of the festival was to raise funds to expand the grazing areas for the outdoor pigs on the farm, and the organizers successfully achieved this objective. The event managed to collect €2,200, with the initial investment being a new pig tunnel on the farm. This addition provides more rooting space for the buitenvarkens, enhancing their living conditions.
With the success of Festival Broekland, the buitenvarkens at Sengersbroek Farm are set to enjoy improved surroundings thanks to the generous contributions of the event attendees.
